Security duties
- Do not publicly post or display an employee's SSN or print it on any card needed to access employer-provided information, products, or services.40 O.S. § 173.1(A)(1)(a)-(b)
- Do not require an employee to transmit an SSN over the Internet unless the connection is secure or the SSN encrypted, or to use an SSN to access a website without a password, PIN, or other authentication.40 O.S. § 173.1(A)(1)(c)-(d)
- Do not print an employee's SSN on mailed materials unless law requires it (applications, enrollment, and account forms excepted).40 O.S. § 173.1(A)(1)(e)
