Alabama Telemarketing Act
ATARequires commercial telephone sellers and their salespeople to be licensed by the Attorney General's Consumer Division before soliciting Alabama purchasers, and imposes disclosure and cancellation rules on telemarketing sales. It is mainly an anti-fraud telemarketing law; the related do-not-call rules are in chapter 8-19C.
