Kids Online Protection and Anti-Grooming Act
LA KOPAG ActImposes a duty of care on platforms, online games, messaging apps, and streaming services that contract with minors, requiring privacy-protective default settings: no adult connections without parental consent (or parental visibility into connections), no direct messages from unconnected adults, no sharing of a minor's precise geolocation, and private-mode accounts. Parents must get supervision tools, including limits on microtransactions, and only a linked parent can change the defaults.
