Between 1 August 2019 and 19 August 2020, Easylife Limited was responsible for 1,345,732 unsolicited direct marketing calls being made to subscribers. These subscribers were registered with the TPS and they had not notified Easylife Limited that they were willing to receive the calls. This resulted in a total of 25 complaints being made to the TPS and the Commissioner as a result.

Between 28 July 2020 and 28 July 2021, Monetise Media Limited engaged in the transmission of a total of 3,506,157 direct marketing emails and text messages. These subscribers had not provided valid consent, contrary to the regulation 22 of PECR.

Solarwave of Grays, Essex, has been fined £100,000 for making 73,217 unsolicited marketing calls about solar panel maintenance between January and October 2020. These were made to people who were registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) list and who should not have received them. The company was also issued with an enforcement notice ordering it to stop marketing until consent had been obtained.

The ICO and TPS received 94 complaints about the West Midlands security systems company for calls it made between 1 June 2017 and 31 May 2018. Of the 851,392 calls made 565,344 were to TPS registered users.

Between 17 March and 2 July 2019, Leeds based CML made 617,323 direct marketing calls to people registered with the TPS. The calls promoted boiler replacements and resulted in 52 complaints from the public.

Between 1 June 2020 and 31 December 2020, UK Appliance Cover Limited made 39,167 unsolicited calls for direct marketing purposes in contravention of Regulation 21 of PECR, and also failed to provide the necessary caller information in contravention of Regulation 24 of PECR. The company has been fined £100,000.

Between 3 March 2020 and 30 September 2020, Home Sure Solutions Limited made 229,483 unsolicited calls for direct marketing purposes in contravention of Regulation 21 PECR. The company has been fined £100,000.

True Telecom Ltd made unsolicited direct marketing calls without consent of recipients.

Between 2 January 2020 and 30 September 2020, Eco Spray used a public telecommunications service for the purposes of making 178,190 unsolicited calls for direct marketing purposes.

Between 11 February 2021 to 24 January 2022, there were 80,240 connected calls unsolicited direct marketing calls being made to subscribers who were registered with the TPS and who had not notified DRT that they were willing to receive such calls, and two complaints being submitted as a result.Calls were about the Irish Lottery. DRT stopped engaging with the Commissioner part way through the investigation and failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the Lotto Express calls involved in the contravention.

Skean first came to the attention of the Commissioner in 2022 as part of an operation formed to assess and analyse complaint trends in relation to the energy and home improvement sector. The Commissioner identified a number of complaints against "Eco Hub", "Driveway Solutions" and "Eco Driveways", in which complainants stated that the calls were promoting energy grants for resin driveways. The investigation established that between 2 March 2022 and 31 May 2022, Skean instigated 614,342 unsolicited direct marketing calls in breach of regulations 21 and 24 of PECR.
